Deep Commentary

The Buddha encourages us to live wisely. A wise person is one who lives with purpose, firmly established in moral precepts rather than being enslaved by sensory desires. They live in constant mindfulness, deeply aware of who they are and what they are doing in every single moment. This continuous, clear state of "Knowing" is true wisdom. It is the lifestyle of the liberated, who interact with the world yet maintain an entirely pure mind. The only difference between an ordinary person and a Noble One (a sage) lies in delusion versus enlightenment. Both are human, but one lives heedlessly driven by desire, while the other lives heedfully, fully awake in the present.
